Making calzones at home is easy with this simple recipe.

Prepare the Dough

Let the Dough Rise

The dough will need two rising periods. Plan ahead so that you have enough time to let the dough develop.
Knock down the Dough

Punch the dough in the center to deflate it. Such fun! Next, you'll divide the dough into smaller pieces.
Roll out the Dough

Use a rolling pin to roll out each circle of dough. Fill half of the space with fillings then fold over.
Form the Calzones

Fold the dough over the fillings then gently close the edges. Press firmly to seal.
Brush with Egg Wash then Bake

Make a few slices into the calzone. Brush with egg wash then bake.
